La casa Amande
Granola bar

In the heart of Madrid's Chamberí neighborhood, right next to Plaza de Olavide, La Casa Amande opens its doors — a cozy bakery-café specializing in handcrafted granola. Founded by sisters Daniela and Carolina, recently arrived from Colombia and supported by Ansón & Bonet, this little haven becomes their new home — and that of anyone who wishes to step inside, sit down, and enjoy granola made by hand, prepared on-site in an open-view workshop.

With only 50 square meters, the space has been optimized to the last detail to meet the needs of the project. The layout revolves around three key elements: the visible workshop, a service counter, and a small tasting area designed to make customers feel right at home.

The design is rooted in the very essence of the project: granola. Natural, noble materials crafted by hand have been chosen — sand-colored cement floors, hand-textured walls, solid wood, and warm reddish marble cladding the counter, adding character and personality to the space. The color palette — beiges, mustard tones, reddish hues — draws inspiration from the toasted shades of granola and honey, creating a soft, welcoming atmosphere.

An upholstered bench with a traditional checkered fabric evokes classic kitchen linens, enhancing the sense of home that fills the entire space while adding color and character.

Thanks to Monge Construcción, this vision has been brought to life.

La Casa Amande is more than just a bakery — it’s a love letter to simplicity, craftsmanship, and the ability to create a sense of home through flavor.
