F DE FOCCACIA was born from a desire to reinterpret artisanal focaccia through a contemporary lens: a place where natural materials and authenticity coexist with a fresh, vibrant, modern design language. A space that, much like the product it serves, strikes a balance between the imperfections of the handmade and the precision of contemporary design.
Deeply rooted in the brand’s identity, the project uses orange and rounded forms as its guiding elements, creating a warm, distinctive and sensory atmosphere. Soft curves flow organically throughout the space, establishing a visual language that seems to extend from the logo itself into the interior architecture.
The counter — the heart of the space — takes its floor-plan geometry from the pill-shaped form of the logo. With its rounded edges and seamless sand-coloured cementitious finish, it evokes dough, flour and the honest textures of artisanal craftsmanship. Around it, the space becomes more intense and expressive. Orange takes over the floors and ceilings, bringing energy, identity and visual continuity, while walls finished in black plaster introduce depth and a more mineral, primal character. An ongoing dialogue between warmth and rawness, between graphic expression and natural materials.
The seamless orange floor finish not only unifies the space but also offers a contemporary, functional solution designed to withstand the demands of everyday use. Above, ceilings painted in the same shade envelop the interior in an almost immersive atmosphere — vibrant and instantly recognisable.
Framing the counter are bespoke light fixtures: sculptural pieces inspired by the undulating, organic forms found inside a freshly sliced focaccia. Its cross-section reveals irregular layers, imperfect air pockets and natural folds — a spontaneous beauty that the project translates into light, form and material.
The result is an honest, contemporary space where design does not seek to disguise the product, but rather to amplify its essence.
