Sea, ocean, waves, beach, sand, tuna, almadrava... these are the words that inspired us to develop the concept of this project.
The intense blues of the ocean, the gradients and colours of the beach sand, the movement of the sea and the waves and the glint of sunlight on the backs of the tuna.
We have materialised all of this through the use of a glossy tesserae-type tile from the Italian brand Appiani in ocean blue, a cement cladding from the A-Vida brand, made from beach sand and applied organically on the walls, generating that sensation of movement that reminds us of the sea, the waves... through a gradation of colours from light to dark that replicates the same gradation of the sand from the shore to the horizon, all combined with a touch of natural wood and white Macael marble.
The stall is framed by a fish sculpture hanging from the ceiling, made and designed to measure, from small fish-shaped pieces of gold mirrored methacrylate, which reminds us of those flashes of sunlight on the backs of tuna. The fish swim in circles, representing the circle that is generated when traps boats are placed surrounding the tuna, according to the traditional fishing of the Almadraba.
Tatún, that is the name of the booth that brings us fresh product from the Almadraba itself.
